Linsay Sumpter & Bobby Mote Talk Women’s Rodeo World Championships

The Women’s Rodeo World Championships are coming up in May in the Fort Worth Stockyards and it was just announced that Linsay Rosser Sumpter is the new commission of the Women’s Rodeo World Championship.

“For me, it was a no brainer. I was excited for the opportunity to work with Bobby and the WCRA and Sean and the PBR and really help push this event,” Sumpter said.

This is the largest and richest women’s rodeo with a $1.5 million payout. This is only it’s third year to take place and it consists of team roping, breakaway and barrels. The goal of this event is to give an opportunity to women who cannot rodeo and travel year-round.

World Champion’s Rodeo Alliance President Bobby Mote says that it is all exciting and he believes that this events gives women’s rodeo the opportunity to grow to what it can be.
