Lefty Holman’s match up at the Battle Born Broncs was none other than Powder River Rodeo’s Miss Valley. This was the first time Holman had drawn this mare and the ride was worth the wait as he put on a show to be 90-points.
“That’s been a great horse, that’s one of the best horses in the country and when you draw one like that you just don’t want to mess it up, Steve, so I’m happy I didn’t do that,” Holman said.
It was an exciting draw for the No. 16 saddle bronc rider in the world but he said that almost him more nervous because he knew what an opportunity this was.
When the dust settled, Holman got his summer run started in the best way as this win added almost $8,000 to his 2023 season earnings.
