Ty Breuer was in a familiar situation in 2022 as he was fighting for his chance at an NFR appearance late into the season. Unlike the two prior seasons, Breuer was able to go on a nice run at the end of the year to lock in a spot at his seventh NFR.

Here is a look back at his 2022 regular season.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

NFR Open, $10,946

Breuer had a strong showing at the NFR Open where he took home just under $11,000. He opened the rodeo with an 82-point ride to place fifth in Round 1. He took Round 2 with an 86.5-point ride and was marked 82 points in the Third Round.

Badlands Circuit Finals, $10,506

Breuer got his 2022 season off to a strong start at the Badlands Circuit Finals where he won all three rounds and the average. His best ride came in the second round where he went 87 points to win the round by seven points. Breuer dominated the rodeo, winning the average by 25 points total.

HIGHEST MARKED RIDES

The End of the Trail Western Festival, 88.5 Points

Breuer took second place at The End of the Trail Western Festival with his best ride of the season, an 88.5-point ride on Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo’s Pejuta Haka.

Kildeer Mountain Roundup PRCA Rodeo, 88 Points

Breuer had one of his best rides of the season at the Kildeer Mountain Roundup where he took second place with an 88-point ride. The ride would also earn him a check for $3,323.

Meagher County Labor Day Rodeo, 87.5 Points

Breuer took second place at the Meagher County Labor Day Rodeo after an 87.5-point ride. At the time of the ride, Breuer was battling for his NFR qualification and the $2,326 earned at the rodeo would turn out to be massive for his season.

NOTABLE WINS

Omaha River City Rodeo, 83 Points

Not notable because of the ride, but because of the timing, Breuer took the Omaha River City Rodeo at the end of the 2022 regular season to lock his spot at the NFR thanks to the $3,349 win.

MSU-Northern PRCA Extreme Bares and Broncs Challenge, 86.5 Points

Breuer matched up with J Bar J’s Drunk Bunny for an 86.5-point ride to win the rodeo and earn over $3,722. Breuer edged out Clay Jorgenson’s 86-point ride for the win.
