Ky Hamilton Overcomes Struggles to Advance to Finals in San Antonio-

Ky Hamilton came into the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo struggling, and he knew he needed to get his mind right to lock in a spot in the Finals. Hamilton looked to one of the best of all time for help, and it paid off.

“I’ve been trying my ass off at the house all the time and things just haven’t been clicking right. I have been hanging out in Stephenville at JB’s. I got on two bulls Tuesday and two bulls yesterday and all four were into my hand and that was something that I really needed to work on.”

Hamilton, who was matched up with DJ Casper made the horn and was marked 86.5 points to win the round.

“I felt confident coming here, that bull had me in a little trouble there at the start... I just knew to keep looking right in the middle and where you look is where you’ll end up.”

Hamilton will compete later this weekend in the Finals at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo with a new sense of confidence, which he knows can do wonders.

“It does a lot. Confidence is everything in this sport. Anytime you can fix a little hiccup that you have and feel confident, then you feel like you’re unbeatable.”

Trey Holston, Josh Frost, Trevor Reiste, and Jacob O’Mara also advanced out of the first Semifinal.
