Held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the National Reining Breeders Classic is recognized as the second-largest reining show in the world, and this year, it delivered high level competition once again.
Among the top of competitors was trainer Kole Price of Pilot Point, Texas, who clinched the 2025 NRBC Open Classic Finals Level 4 Championship along with his five-year-old stallion Golden Coins by Spooks Gotta Gun and out of Electric Cha Ching. The pair topped the leaderboard with an impressive 227.5 to secure the title.
Price came into this event showing four separate horses, ultimately placing or winning on all of them – a true testament to his abilities as a trainer. Notably, his other stallion, Picture Perrfect by Spooks Gotta Whiz and out of Isnt She Perfect, tied with Golden Coins in the preliminary round with a score of 224 going into the Finals.
Heading into the Championship Round, Price kept his mindset simple.
“To me, it was more or less just keep my momentum, keep doing what I was doing. Try not to change too much,” Price shared. “You also have to remember, there were a couple people that were in the top five, they’re assassins, they’re coming after you. So you have to be ready to go out and mark your run.”
As the dust settled in Tulsa, it was Price and Golden Coins who emerged victorious and added another prestigious title to Price’s resume.
