Kincade Henry proved once again why he is one of the best tie down ropers in the game, clinching the 2025 Governor’s Cup title. With the pressure on in the final four man round, Henry delivered an essential 7.4 second run that earned him the win and a $32,000 payday.
Knowing he needed a fast time to top the final round, Henry leaned on his trusted horse, Mario to get the job done. Even at 19 years old, Mario still remains on of Henry’s go to mounts in high pressure moments.
After giving the seasoned horse most of the summer off, Henry recently brought him back into competition towards the end of the 2025 season and the results have been spot on. The pair’s chemistry and timing were on full display in Sioux Falls, helping Henry capture one of the biggest wins of the fall.
Now heading to his fourth National Finals Rodeo, Henry sits third in the PRCA world standings with $186,718 in regular season earnings. With momentum on his side, Henry is poised to make a serious run at the world title.
