Kelsie Domer Adds Name to San Antonio History Books with Round Winning 1.6-Second Run

Kelsie Domer is no stranger to fast times that land her in the winner’s circle. In Round 3 of Bracket 4 of San Antonio, the World Champion Breakaway Roper added her name to the record books when the clock stopped at a blazing fast 1.6 seconds.

“It’s awesome, I mean, such a cool run. You always dream of doing something like that so I’m super excited,” Domer said.

At a rodeo where being right on the barrier has been crucial to making a perfect run, Domer went into the Final Round knowing she needed to get out and take her first shot. She did just that, set an arena record and cinched her spot as the No. 1 breakaway roper coming back to the Semifinals from her bracket.

Also moving on are Madison Outhier, Sammy Taylor and Laramie Johnson.
