Kaycee Feild enters the 2021 NFR looking to defend his World Title from 2020, the fifth of his Hall of Fame career. He currently sits in the No. 5 position after earning $125,856 on the season.

Feild started his season in impressive fashion at The American Rodeo where he won the first round with an 88.5 point ride on Zulu Warrior and took third place in the finals after a second 88.5 point ride.

The 90 point ride at the Riggin Rally was already the second of the year at or above 90 points. Since 2012, Feild had nine total rides marked at 90 or better, in 2021 alone he had nine 90 point rides.

Feild’s next 90 point ride would come in round three of the RAM National Circuit Finals and would take second place in the round. He followed that up with a fourth-place finish at the rodeo. In total, Feild won more than $11,000 at the Circuit Finals.

Feild’s best showing of the year came in Darby, Montana at the Riggin Rally Xtreme Broncs. Feild opened his weekend up with a 90 point ride on Bucking Knight that earned him second place. He followed that up with his highest marked ride of the year, a 92.5 point ride on Straight Moonshine which would win him the rodeo.

After remaining consistent in the standings through June, Feild earned another big payday in early July at the Livingston Roundup Rodeo where he went 91 points for the win on Black Feathers. The win earned Kaycee just over $5,000, and going back to back in Bareback Riding became much more realistic.

Feild would earn another $5,000 payday at the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. Feild won 86.5 points on Meat Coma and earned $5,231 on the day.

Feild had an impressive 10-day stretch between August 11 and August 21. It began at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo with an 88.5 point win on Organic Outlaw.

Feild ended the year in fifth place in the World Standings, but from a numbers standpoint, it was the best of his career. Had had as many 90 point rides in 2021 as he did in 2012-2020, and averaged a better score per qualified ride than ever before at 84.21 points per ride. Feild enters the 2021 NFR with a great chance at another World title, but has some ground to make up on World No. 1 Tilden Hooper.
