Kassie Mowry Was on Fire During 2022 Regular Season to Cinch Third NFR

Kassie Mowry is a renowned barrel horse trainer who has cinched her third National Finals Rodeo qualification after only going to 26 rodeos during the 2022 regular season.

Mowry’s huge success this season is in thanks to two geldings, Famous Ladies Man and CP He Will Be Epic. The two powerhouse geldings were a force to be reckoned with Mowry as the jockey.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Calgary Stampede, $39,500

Mowry is now the arena record holder at the greatest outdoor show on Earth after an extremely successful trip that ended with a championship. It was Round 3 of Pool B that Mowry set the record at 16.86 seconds. She ran a total of three runs that were sub 17 seconds before she left with the coveted bronze.

Rodeo Houston, $28,000

Early in the season, Mowry won the first two rounds of Super Series 4 before she finished second in Round 3 and qualified for the Semifinals. A second-place finish in the Semifinals moved her on to the Championship Shootout where she also finished second.

FASTEST TIMES

Cheyenne Frontier Days, 17.28 seconds

Aside from Calgary, Mowry also had success at the Daddy of Em All. With a 17.28 she placed second in the qualifier and it was worth over $6,000 and added to her record of big checks from big rodeos.

NOTABLE WINS

Black Hills Roundup, 16.96 seconds

To continue her success up north, Mowry took home the win from Belle Fourche, South Dakota. With a time of 16.96 seconds, Mowry beat reigning World Champion Jordon Briggs by just one hundredth of a second.
