Kalli McCall and Mohawk Hustle to the Top at the Resistol Rookie Roundup

Barrel racer Kalli McCall defends her spot at No. 1 in the Resistol Rookie Race as she cinched the championship title at the Resistol Rookie Roundup with a 13.50-second run in the Final Round.

“It’s amazing, it’s something I’ve worked for my whole life and this is just getting the ball going for me,” McCall said in regard to how this win affects her young career in professional rodeo.

The cowgirl turned in a 13.31 in the Long Round to position herself at No. 2 on the leader board and secure her spot in the Semifinals. McCall advanced out of the 8-Man Round and into the Finals where she notched the championship title.

McCall was backed by some serious horsepower as her equine partner Mohawk showed out at the Cowtown Coliseum as the team earned over $3,600 at the second annual Resistol Rookie Roundup presented by The Cowboy Channel.
