Kade Bruno Takes Over the No. 1 Spot in PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings

A successful July has moved Bruno form No. 8 to No. 1 in the World

After finishing the 2023 season at No. 3 in the World two-time NFR qualifier Kade Bruno is proving how badly he wants to go home with a Gold Buckle this year.

On July 1, Bruno was ranked No. 8, leaving him $56,878 behind the No. 1 man, Damian Brennan, who had been holding onto the spot since RodeoHouston in March.

During the first week of July, things started to shift for Bruno. It all started with his big win at the St. Paul Rodeo in Oregon. There he rode Big Bend Rodeo’s Broken Camp for 87 points and brought in a check of $13,127.

It continued to go his way when he took home the coveted title and the $50,000 from The Calgary Stampede after winning a nail-biting ride off with Zeke Thurston. He rode for 92 points on Northcutt and Yule’s Mary Lou to ultimately finish the job.

His high-scoring season progressed throughout July when he picked up $9,000 after winning a Silver Medal at the Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo in Salt Lake City with a 91-point ride on C5 Rodeo’s Hangover Face.

Bruno recalls that it is his past experiences that are helping him to be so successful this year. In one month, Bruno has picked up checks at 11-of-16 rodeos that he had ridden at. These victories have put him in the No. 1 spot in the World Standings, $8,500 ahead of No. 2 Damian Brennan.
