Kade Bruno won the Redding Rodeo two weeks ago and now he’s in position to continue his California success after an 85.5 point ride on Thursday night in Santa Maria.
Bruno, the No. 15 cowboy in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings, got the job done on six-time NFR horse Flood Tide of Rosser Rodeo.
“I started the year out really good in Denver and Fort Worth and then I kind of went cold, really it was nothing but a mental deal, I was just wasting opportunities on really good horses and I finally got tired of that,” he said.
Bruno will have to wait two more performances to see if he’ll be crowned the champion of the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo. On Friday night, the closest anyone came was Statler Wright, who was 83 points.
You can find out if Bruno’s score holds as the rodeo continues Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+.
