Kade Bruno’s Rematch on Flying 5’s Major Spirit Powers Him to Round 2 Win in Reno

Kade Bruno had a rematch with Flying 5 Rodeo’s Major Spirit to win Round 2 in Reno, which came with payday north of $5,000 for the fourth-ranked saddle bronc rider in the PRCA.

“It feels good. I’ve never really had a lot of luck here and this is one of my favorite rodeos so it feels good to do good here,” Bruno said.

Bruno picked up momentum as he is fresh off of a hometown rodeo win and after his ride on Major Spirit did not go in his favor, the Idaho cowboy says it felt good to get one back.

Bruno is back on Saturday in A1 position for the Reno Rodeo title as he leads the Average with 168 points on two. Ross Griffin is a point off the pace at 167 and Layton Green, Dawson Hay and Statler Wright are all within five points of Bruno.

The Short Round from Reno can be seen only on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+ at 10 PM ET on Saturday.
