Barrel Racer Julie Plourde is heading into the 2026 rodeo season with a new addition to her trailer. Plourde recently added the stud horse Truly Epic to her team and has already begun testing his potential in competition. She made a run inside Cowtown Coliseum on her new partner, an early look that has her optimistic about what the horse could bring to the road this season.
The timing couldn’t be better for Plourde, who is coming off an outstanding year. She capped off the 2025 season with an average title at the National Finals Rodeo. Additionally at the NFR, Plourde showcased remarkable consistency by riding the same horse, Rocky, for all ten rounds.
With proven success behind her and new horsepower stepping into the arena, Plourde enters 2026 positioned for another competitive year.
