Josh Garner was out during the final performance of the High Desert Stampede in Redmond, Oregon. He threw his steer in 4.9 seconds to go to the lead and it held on through the entire performance to make him the Champion.
After a week of big, strong steers, everything went right for Garner and he attributes that in part, to his equine partner.
“I didn’t really know the steer going in too much but I saw that he leaves and runs and I ride a horse that leaves and runs really good,” Garner said.
Garner rides Sterling Lambert’s horse. He is an all-around great horses, Garner says he sits in the box good, scores good, runs hard and gives you a chance every time.
Garner is adding to his earnings a climbing up the standings. After adding $2,724 to his earnings from the High Desert Stampede, he sits No. 46 in the world.
