In July of 2021 at the PBR Express Ranches Classic in Tulsa, Oklahoma, history was made when reigning World Champion Jose Vitor Leme drew No. 1 bull Woopaa (Barker Bulls/Hookin’ W Ranch).
The matchup resulted in 97.75 point — the highest marked score in PBR history.
Leme earned 49.75 of those points, just .25 off a perfect score, while Woopaa contributed 48 points for a combined, record-breaking total of 97.75 (previous record was 96.5 points).
It was Leme’s third showdown with Wooppa, all resulting in qualified rides for more than 90 points.
He first rode him in 2020 for 95.75 to win the World Championship, then again in February of this year for 94.75 to win the Unleash The Beast event in Fort Worth, Texas.
But neither compare to their historic trip in Tulsa.
As they say, third time’s the charm.
