Jordan Spears Wins Pendleton Round-Up and Breaks Into the Top 15

Jordan Spears caps off the Pendleton Round-Up with a big win.

Redding, California’s Jordan Spears delivered a clutch performance at the Pendleton Round-Up to claim the championship and secure a needed boost in the world standings.

Spears opened strong in Round One with an 88-point ride on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Diamond Daze to take the round win. He followed it up in the finals with an 86.5-point ride on Big Rafter Rodeo’s Silver Bullet, which sealed the deal and put him on top when the rodeo came to a close.

“This is one of my favorite rodeos of the year. To win it two times, a lot of guys dream of winning it once, to win it again, I’m just blessed to be able to be here, be able to compete and be healthy this time of year,” Spears said.

That performance moved him to No. 15 in the world standings, sitting right on the bubble with the regular season nearly over. Spears has already notched big wins this year in Spanish Fork and Salinas — and now he’s looking to punch his ticket to a sixth National Finals Rodeo this December.
