Joel Harris is making his presence known in professional rodeo. A phenomenal run that stopped the clock at 8.6 seconds won the Texas calf roper the round by two tenths of a second at his first ever San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo performance.
“Wow. It’s just surreal. I walked in the building and I went over to one of my fellow calf ropers and I was just like man this is a big one, isn’t it? And just the atmosphere is unreal,” Harris said about San Antonio.
Harris said it was just a pretty good run on a real good calf. This run got Harris is first victory lap and if he keeps it up, there will be many more.
Shane Hanchey and Zack Kirkpatrick round out the top three of the round with two more to go in San Antonio.
