One of the matchups to watch at Clovis Rodeo on Friday night was Jesse Wright and the legendary bronc of Burch Rodeo, Lunatic From Hell. The two went toe-to-toe for eight seconds and the result was an 89-point ride that went on to earn Wright the Clovis Rodeo title.
“It’s not drawing him that makes me nervous, it’s screwing him up. That’s what I tell myself, just do your part. Don’t screw up, that’s what makes me nervous the most on that horse,” Wright said.
It is Lunatic From Hell’s consistency that makes every ride an exhilarating one for Wright who has drawn the bronc multiple times. If you ask Wright, this ride felt like a dream.
With the Clovis win cinched, Wright added over $9,000 to the World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider’s 2023 season earnings and inched him closer to that Top 15.
