Jesse Brown had some ground to make up after his first run in Bracket 6. Brown went 5.4 seconds which put him in sixth place after the run. In Round 2, Brown was a full second better, going 4.4 seconds and winning the round.
The run would push Brown through to the next round in Fort Worth.
“I am just glad to be moving on in this tournament format.”
Brown knew he had to have his best to move on, especially when it comes to a rodeo like Fort Worth.
“There is a bunch of good steer qrestlers. first through 100 in the world can win a rodeo and especially here it is narrowed down even more than that.”
With the round win Brown takes home more than $1,700, but more importantly stays alive in the Fort Worth tournament format. Don Payne was the bracket’s winner thanks to a pair of second place finishes.
