Jess Pope Continues Winning Streak in Spanish Fork

Jess Pope has had a strong summer — cashing big checks in Calgary, Livingston, Oakley, and St. Paul (to name a few, and that’s just this month) — and Spanish Fork was no different.

On the final night of the rodeo, Pope lit up the leaderboard with 89.5 points on Frontier Rodeo Company’s young star Gunfire (a sure contender for Barbeback Horse of the Year). He won the round and split the title with Garrett Shadbolt, pocketing $7,473 in prize earnings.

Pope, the 2020 NFR average winner (at his first finals), currently sits No. 7 in the World Standings, and if his season continues with the same momentum, we’re sure to see him Las Vegas come December.
