Jess Pope came into Las Vegas the No. 2 ranked bareback rider in the PRCA World Standings. Before the first three rounds were over, he was No. 1 and he has not slowed down since.
“It feels pretty good. It feeds me, I feed off of it. I try not to pay attention to it because it’s not over until it’s over. There’s still three more rounds and 14 guys that want the exact same thing that I do,” Pope said.
Pope picked up the Round Seven win with an 89-point ride on Big Stone Rodeo’s Mayhem.
