Jeff Flenniken and Jake Minor are the Champions of the team roping at the High Desert Stampede by over half a second. They laid down a run of 5.0 seconds to beat out tough competition.
All of the variables of team roping came together.
“I knew we had a good steer and I just tried to make sure I got out of the barrier. [The steer] kind of took a step to me, made it perfect,” said Flenniken, the header.
Both Flenniken and Minor sitting within the Top 25 in the World Standings, adding to their earnings with this win in Redmond.
“We’ve had a rough winter… I’ve been messing up a lot, was glad to catch today,” Minor said.
Flenniken has made one National Finals Rodeo appearance while Minor has roped twice in Las Vegas. The two are looking to make another trip and they know all too well how important every win is.
