JC Yeahquo/Buddy Hawkins Win RodeoHouston in First Seasons as Partners

The new teammates have both ascended to No. 1 in the PRCA World Standings

JC Yeahquo and Buddy Hawkins teamed up for the first time in 2024 and the new partnership has paid early dividends following a win at RodeoHouston.

Both team ropers are now No. 1 in the PRCA World Standings after getting the $50,000 payday for a 4.8-second run in the Finals. They made $54,375 apiece overall.

“This is a huge win for us, I knew JC had in it him. I don’t think I really did a great job today,” Hawkins said. “I think 12 years I’ve becoming to this rodeo and this is the first Final Four for me. (This is) one of my all time favorite days, all time favorite wins.”

Every team in the Shootout was within six tenths of the winners with Jake Smith/Douglas Rich taking second with a 5.2 and Andrew Ward/Tanner Braden and Clint Summers/Jake Long splitting third with 5.4.
