The PBR shared some pretty big news earlier this week, JB Mauney will be the coach of the Oklahoma Wildcatters, an expansion team in 2024.
“It’s the return you’ve all been waiting for,” the PBR wrote on social media. "(The Oklahoma Wildcatters) have named JB Mauney their head coach.”
Mauney is a two-time PBR World Champion and one-time NFR qualifier. His combined earnings across the PBR and PRCA is more than $7.6 million.
The Wildcatters, owned by professional golfer Talor Gooch, are one of two new teams in 2024. The other is the Brooklyn-based New York Mavericks who will be coached by 2009 PBR World Champion and Kody Lostroh.
