Jake Finlay Talks RNCFR Win

It had been a struggle of late for Saddle Bronc Jake Finlay. He had not earned a check greater than $1,000 since October, but last weekend he broke through in a big way.

“I haven’t broken 80 points since Duncan’s Prarie Circuit Finals and my pocketbook was getting a little bit empty. I nearly had to ask one of my traveling partners for money to get down there. I am glad I didn’t. I got down there and let it all hang out.”

Finlay went 86 in the semifinals of the RNCFR and 88 points in the finals to take home the win and the payday that came with it. Finlay increased his season earnings to over $20,000 and has now moved into seventh place in the World Standings.
