Jake Finlay Leads Clovis Thanks to 89.5 Points on Lunatic from Hell

Jake Finlay reunited with Lunatic from Hell, the first horse he ever got on as a professional saddle bronc rider, for 89.5 points, which could very well hold to win the Clovis Rodeo.

“He gives every cowboy a chance and he has for a long time,” he said of his bronc. “It’s full circle.....I had a lot more confidence today than the first time I got on him.”

Before Finlay’s ride on Saturday, the leaders were at 84 points, however, what are now the three best rides of the rodeo all came during the third performance as both Stetson and Ryder Wright were marked 87 on Saturday. The rodeo is a one-head event in the roughstock.

The Clovis Rodeo concludes Sunday only on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+ at 7:30 PM ET.
