Jacob Lees is making his presence known in professional rodeo. He went 88.5 points on Beutler & Son’s Forward Motion to take the lead at Rodeo Austin.
“He met and exceeded them. I’ve seen that horse go for a lot of years now, he’s been around. He’s kind of funny in the box but if you can get him out of there then he’s outstanding,” Lees said on Forward Motion meeting his expectations.
Lees made it to the Short Round of Rodeo Houston and was rolled to Sunday’s Rodeo Austin Performance. He carried that momentum from Houston to Austin and it paid off.
“I started a lot stronger than I did in the very beginning. But I’ve just got things rolling and kept on rolling so hopefully they keep rolling,” Lees said.
Cole Reiner sits in second with 87.5 points while Cole Franks is third at Rodeo Austin with six performances left.
