Browns Valley, California’s Jacek Frost made a statement at the Pendleton Round-Up, moving inside the Top 15 and putting himself in position to qualify for his first-ever National Finals Rodeo this December.
Coming into Pendleton, Frost was on the outside looking in. But with the season winding down, he delivered exactly when it mattered most. He kicked things off with an 86.5-point ride on Outlawbuckers Rodeo’s Missing Link to win the first round. He followed it up in the finals with an 87.5-point ride on Summit Pro Rodeo’s Game Trail, the second-highest score of the round.
“I’m just so blessed that everybody could be here and everything is happening,” Frost said.
Those two rides gave Frost a combined 174 points and secured him the Pendleton championship. Along with the buckle, he earned more than $9,000, enough to push him up to No. 13 in the world standings.
With just weeks left in the regular season, Frost now has a clear shot at qualifying for his first NFR.
