Have a favorite bucking horse of 2022? Head to The Cowboy Channel’s Instagram page throughout the next two weeks to make sure your favorite bronc moves on to the next round!

The 2022 Bucking Bracket features some of the top horses of the 2021 and 2022 seasons and we are looking for your help to crown the best of the best!

The Bareback region is highlighted by Calgary Stampede’s Xplosive Skies, who has an average stock score of 45.5 points. The bronc was named the PRCA Bareback Horse of the Year in 2021 after only seven outs. There were just four cowboys in 2021 who went the full 8 on the bronc and their average score was 91.33 points.

Clayton Biglow found lightning in a bottle back-to-back weekends on Xplosive Skies. The California Cowboy was 92 points on the Calgary horse at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo (Oregon) and the Canby Rodeo (Oregon), both of those scores were good enough to win the rodeo.

The Saddle Bronc Region features the 2021 Saddle Bronc Horse of the Year in Korkow Rodeo’s Onion Ring.

Early on in the 2021 season, Onion Ring was nothing short of a top-scoring horse.

Brody Cress drew Onion Ring at the Casey Tibbs Match of Champions in Fort Pierre, South Dakota and he tied for fourth with 88.5 points. Lefty Holman was 88.5 points as well to win Back When They Bucked in Deadwood, South Dakota. K’s Thomson was also 88.5 at the Kitsap Stampede on him.

The top ride of the 2021 season came in the long round of Puyallup, where CoBurn Bradshaw went 90.5 points.

Check back in daily to vote in this year’s Bucking Bracket on the The Cowboy Channel’s Instagram page as we narrow the field from 16 horses all the way down to two, one saddle bronc and one bareback horse, competing for all of the marbles.
