In 2021 Madison Outhier Became The First Ever Resistol Rookie of the Year in the Breakaway Roping

Madison Outhier has gone down in history as the first ever Resistol Rookie of the Year in the Breakaway Roping.

“It’s a huge accomplishment and honor for both me and my family. Just to be the first one, I’m so thankful that the WPRA and the PRCA included us in that this year,” Outhier said.

Outhier followed in her father’s footsteps. Her father, Mike, was the 1998 Saddle Bronc Rookie of the Year.

Outhier’s career got kickstarted when she won the breakaway at the American Rodeo the first year it was added. Since then she has gone on to win several big titles and that now includes the Resistol Rookie of the Year.
