Nineteen-year-old Hudson Bolton has etched his name into the PBR history books as the 2025 Rookie of the Year. Determined to claim the title from the start of the season, Bolton sealed the deal at the World Finals during the final rounds on Championship Sunday.
He found out he’d officially clinched the Rookie of the Year title just before getting on his final bull in Round 4. With the pressure off, he focused on having fun—and he did just that, riding ‘Night Agent’ for 88.25 points.
Despite battling a mid-season injury, Bolton put together a standout rookie year—riding 23 of 38 bulls and finishing with an impressive 60.5% riding average, a personal goal he set early in the season.
“Everyone remembers the guy that rides all the bulls,” Bolton said, reflecting on the stats that helped define his Rookie year.
Looking ahead, Bolton now has his sights set on capturing the PRCA Resistol Rookie of the Year title as well.
“I don’t think anyone’s ever done it in the same year,” he said. “But the ultimate goal is to go down as a legend—that’s what I want to be remembered as.”
