Bailey Patterson now calls Pendleton, Oregon home, and it just got a little sweeter as she claimed her first Pendleton Round-Up title.
A 2.7-second run in Round 1 was part of a six-way tie for the No. 2 spot. On Short Go Saturday, Patterson roped smart to clock a 3.5, making the win hers by four-tenths of a second.
“She’s tough as nails, and she gave me that run right there. I think she put my loop on too, becasue it wasn’t very pretty. And, my mom picked that horse, and my mom passed away this year so it’s very special,” Patterson said about Stella.
