Logan Medlin is heading to his fourth straight NFR after a Top 5 regular season on the heel side of the team roping.

Medlin earned $133,487 on the season and enters the NFR just under $40,000 out of first place.

Medlin is on pace to beat his career-best finish which came last season when he finished No. 6 in the World with just over $207,000 earned.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup (Sioux Falls), $35,000

Medlin and his partner Coleman Proctor made a big jump in the standings on the final weekend of the regular season when they won two rounds at the Governor’s Cup. The big win on the weekend came in the Finals where the two posted a 3.4-second run to earn a check of $25,000.

Calgary Stampede Team Roping, $13,518

Proctor and Medlin had a nice showing at the Calgary Stampede Team Roping event where they stopped the clock at 6.6 seconds to win the Finals. The duo was also 4.2 seconds in the Semifinals.

FASTEST RUNS

San Angelo Rodeo, 3.7 Seconds

The fastest run of their season came with the 3.4 in Sioxux Falls, but thier fastest run of the Texas Swing came at a great time. The two stopped the clock at 3.7 seconds at San Angelo to earn a check of more than $4,000 for a third place finish in Round 2.

NOTABLE WINS

Fallon County Fair and Rodeo (Montana), 4.6 Seconds

On Aug. 19, Proctor/Medlin won more than $4,500 after winning a tight team roping that saw 11 teams finish between 4.6 and 5.2 seconds.

Golden Spike Rodeo (Utah), 4.0 Seconds

Medlin and Proctor stopped the clock at 4.0 seconds at the Golden Spike Rodeo to earn a check of just under $4,800. They stayed hot the next weekend with a 4.1-second run to take third at another PRCA Playoff Series Rodeo, the Magic Valley Stampede (Idaho).
