Haven Meged Leads A Tough Set of Tie-Down Ropers in Quarterfinal No. 4 in Cheyenne

The competition in the tie-down roping was one to remember in Quarterfinal No. 4 of the Cheyenne Frontier Days with some of the fastest times seen so far including Haven Meged’s performance winning run of 9.9 seconds.

“I think we all knew this was probably going to be one of the tougher days and then everybody saw the calves they got and it definitely turned out to be one of the toughest days so far,” Meged said.

Meged backed into the box on six-year-old gelding Lil Punch who belongs to his wife, breakaway roper Shelby Boisjoli, to see the run through and it paid off in a big way as he secured his spot in the Semifinals in Cheyenne along side Jake Pratt, Shad Mayfield and Britt Bedke.

The four tie-down ropers will compete Friday or Saturday at 2 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.
