Hali Williams Moves to No. 1 in the World with RodeoHouston Win

Breakaway roper Hali Williams earned her first gold buckle at RodeoHouston after the 19-year-old cowgirl stopped the clock at 3.6 seconds in the Championship Shootout.

Williams advanced from Super Series II with $3,000 in earnings to move into the Semifinals where she secured her spot in the 10-Man Championship Round.

“The breakaway world’s become big enough that you can make a living and that’s something really exciting and this year we’re gonna try for it and go for the World,” Williams said.

Williams is now sitting No. 1 in the WPRA Standings after securing the $50,000 check at RodeoHouston and has big plans for the 2023 season.
