Hailey Kinsel left little doubt about who would become the Barrel Racing World Champion after winning five of ten rounds.

In doing so, she won her third World Title and also broke her own standard pattern record with a 16.56 second run in round 8. Hailey sealed the victory with an impressive 16.88 second run in Round 10 that earned her second place in the round.

“This year, in so many ways, has looked like it was not going to be something worth taking pictures of or remembering at the end of it, and I am so grateful, not just to be here right now, but for the entire journey,” Kinsel said. “The same God that’s on the mountaintops has been with me in the valleys.”

Kinsel earned an impressive $270,615 at the NFR earning her the RAM Top Gun Award, which goes to the athlete that earns the most money at the National Finals.

Her total season earnings were just shy of $350,000 and she finished $148,000 ahead of Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi in second place.

Her palomino partner Sister was there with her every step of the way.

“They ask if she knows how special she is, and absolutely she knows she’s special to me, but I don’t think she knows she’s done a great thing,” Kinsel said. “I think she just has a great time. That, for me, is the most important thing. She loves it, she continues to love it, she has a blast out there. She doesn’t do it for anything I do it for. She does it because she thinks I asked her to and she likes me.”
