Gus Gaillard has officially claimed the title of 2025 Resistol Rookie of the Year in the saddle bronc riding, capping off a breakout rookie season.
After finding success at the collegiate level, Gaillard went into the professional arena with confidence and consistency. He wrapped up his rookie year with an impressive $94,014 in earnings.
Throughout the season, Gaillard stood out with strong performances at some of the sport’s top rodeos. He picked up significant checks in Fort Worth, Liberty Hill, and Miles City.
A highlight of his season came at the Jordan Xtreme Broncs, where he delivered his top ride of the year, a 91-point performance on Kevlar Jacket.
With his rookie year now in the books, Gaillard’s rise in the sport is only just beginning. The foundation has been laid for what looks to be a bright future in saddle bronc riding.
