2020 Louisiana Jr. High School Finals Breakaway Roping Champion Grace Dubois did not have an easy rode to victory. During her first run in the LA state finals, she fell from her horse - hitting a concrete wall on the way down. After being knocked unconscious, suffering a seizure, a trip to the hospital and a confirmed concussion - she returned to the rodeo arena to finish what she started.
Grace and her mother joined us on Western Sports Round Up last night to talk about the accident and how she returned from the hospital hours later to not only compete again, but win the roping. Watch the video above to see the interview, the wreck, and Grace’s victorious return.
