Saddle bronc rider Garrett Long made his name known at the Cowtown Coliseum after the Nebraska native cinched the Resistol Rookie Roundup Championship Title with an 88-point ride on New Star Pro Rodeo’s South Point Buckle.
“It’s been an amazing experience, I’ve learned so much and I don’t think anybody knew who I was before I got here and maybe this is my chance,” Long said when asked about what winning the Resistol Rookie Roundup meant for his career.
Long added $2,876 to his earnings over the weekend and celebrated a milestone achievement as he goes down in history as the Saddle Bronc Champion of the second annual Resistol Rookie Roundup presented by The Cowboy Channel.
