Bracket 3 of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo saw arena records fall and a World Champion dominate, living up to its ‘this thing is legendary’ moniker.
Saddle bronc rider Tanner Butner surprised even himself when he rode Andrews Rodeo’s All or Nothing for 94 points in Round 2 for the highest score ever inside Dickies Arena.
“I was expecting a heckuva ride, but that was more than I thought,” he said. “I was just trying to keep up, there was a lot going on, horse was outstanding.”
In the barrel race, Jordon Briggs stopped the clock faster than 16.60 seconds on both runs in the bracket, giving her two of the three fastest runs over the last two performances.
“I think Rollo knows that my Fort Worth buckle is old and I’ve been wearing it for a long time so I really hope he gets me a new one,” the 2021 World Champion said after her first run on Tuesday night.
