Five Fast Facts: Busy Weekend in the PRCA, Curtis Cassidy With a First, and Sage Newman Back on Top

Here is a look back at five fast facts from a busy weekend in the PRCA to get you caught up on any action that you may have missed.

1. It was a packed weekend in the PRCA with over 30 events hosted across the country, including Redding, the Deep South Rodeo, Santa Rosa, and the Daily Record Xtreme Broncs.

2. 44-year-old Curtis Cassidy won the Steer Wrestling in Redding for the first time in his long career. Cassidy was 9.7 seconds on two head to get the win.

3. Ky Hamilton became the first Bull Rider to win three PRCA Playoff Series Rodeos this season. His wins came at Houston, Tucson, and Redding.

4. It was an impressive weekend at the Miles City Xtreme Broncs as there were 19 rides of 86.5 points or better, with the winning ride being a 91-point ride from 2022 World Champion, Zeke Thruston.

5. Sage Newman has jumped back into the top spot in the Saddle Bronc PRCA World Standings after a big weekend in Miles City. Newman has opened up a nearly $10,000 lead over Stetson Wright.
