It is not very often that the last two weeks of the season rolls around and 15-time National Finals Rodeo barrel racer, Lisa Lockhart, has not claimed her spot in Las Vegas.

This year, she has had to hustle this summer as she entered September outside of the Top 15. Over the past few days, that has changed and she now sits No. 14 in the WPRA World Standings.

Since Sept. 14, Lockhart has pulled a check at every rodeo she has entered and it has totaled over $13,000. Lockhart has been hitting the road harder than ever starting in Spokane, Washington to Albuquerque, New Mexico before heading to Pendleton, Oregon and back down south to Louisiana and Texas.

This past weekend, she totaled about $7,000 across six different rodeo.

Lockhart’s horsepower this year has consisted of Rosa, Cutter and Levee, all of which have helped get her into the Top 15 and it looks like she will make appearance No. 16 at the National Finals Rodeo this December.
