Female Athlete of the Week: Jordon Briggs and Rollo Roll on to Second Consecutive RodeoHouston Championship

It has been said by the cowgirl herself that Jordon Briggs and Rollo’s favorite rodeo is RodeoHouston. The duo thrives at NRG Stadium and they did it again this year when they won their second consecutive title in Houston making Briggs your Female Athlete of the Week.

Briggs and Rollo were the reigning Champions going into Super Series I where they won one Go-Round and placed in another to tie with Andrea Busby to be the No. 1 cowgirls making it back to the Semifinals. It would be there that Briggs and Rollo would run their fastest time of RodeoHouston with a 14.35 to win Semifinal 2 by two tenths of a second. On Championship Sunday, the pair clocked identical 14.73-second runs to win it all.

As Briggs said in her winning interview, RodeoHouston is a rodeo that can set up a contestants entire year and for the second year in a row, Briggs and Rollo have secured this massive win.

Briggs is now your No. 1 barrel racer in the WPRA World Standings with $81,467 giving her a lead of almost $33,000 despite making just 17 runs for the entire season.
