Fallon, Nevada is home to the Battle Born Broncs for their second year as Ty and Darcy Skiver brought back their extremely successful event.
“It just went unbelievable last year, even beyond what we expected. Give Darcy all the credit for that. She’s the worker, I kind of tell the jokes,” Ty said.
Rocker Steiner and Damian Brennan, 2022 rookies, made the high marked rides of the 2022 event to be your champions.
This year, Skivers decided to have a school alongside the Battle Born Broncs event and teaching at that school is none other than National Finals qualifiers and World Champions like R.C. Landingham, Clayton Biglow and Kade Bruno.
“Well we just decided to have the school because we want more kids involved with rodeo and then we just asked R.C. and Clayton, originally, and they volunteered to do the school. Then it just blossomed from there and we got phone calls from other guys saying ‘we’re going to be there, we’ll come help’. I was over here watching these kids on the bucking machine just now and there’s three NFR bronc riders standing there helping each one of these kids and two NFR bareback riders on the other side. It’s just unbelievable the caliber of help we have around here,” Ty said.
In true rodeo fashion, the day before Battle Born Broncs, the rodeo community is giving back to its youth. As we look forward to the event, the day sheet is stacked with high caliber cowboys and high-powered horses. It starts at 10:00 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel.
