Tristan Mize is an All-Around hand and this week, he went to Oklahoma where he found success in the bull riding in a big way. A substantial payday came along to make Mize your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
The Lawton Xtreme Bulls payed out almost $40,000 in total and over a quarter of it went to the Champion. Mize matched up with Championship Pro Rodeo’s Guess Who, a bull that takes cowboys to the pay window every time if they can make the eight second whistle. Mize did just that to make his second highest marked ride of the season with an 89.5 putting him in the lead.
When the dust settled, Mize held that lead by just half a point to claim the Lawton Xtreme Bulls title and add the $11,421 to his season earnings. It was also another big ride added to Guess Who’s resume and the first qualified ride made on the Championship Pro Rodeo animal athlete of the 2024 season.
Although it was only Mize’s second highest ride by just one point, it was his highest payday this year and it pushed him from outside the Top 30 to inside the Top 20 as he is now the No. 16 ranked bull rider in the PRCA World Standings. Mize is your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
