After a slow start to his 2023 season, Texas bull rider Braden Richardson hit the July jackpot. Making two rides over 90 points, Richardson is your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
Aboard Big Stone Rodeo’s Mr. Clean, Richardson put together a 90.5-point ride to win St. Paul Rodeo, the highest paying rodeo over Cowboy Christmas. Richardson cashed in on $12,450.
Richardson then matched up with Powder River Rodeo’s Heater in Vernal, Utah to make the highest marked ride of the 2023 season with a 93.5-point ride. This win earned him another $9,600.
Richardson has now made multiple 90-point rides in each of the three last seasons.
The 28-year-old entered the month of July No. 39 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings but has launched himself into contention for a second NFR berth by jumping to No. 19 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings.
