With 22 NFR qualifications between them, no team roping pair in 2023 has more than Erich Rogers/Paul Eaves.

A dozen of those belong to Rogers, who made it every year from 2011-2021 and is back again as the No. 8 header in the world this season.

BIGGEST PAYDAYS

California Rodeo Salinas, $6,837

Rogers/Eaves placed in just one round, fifth in the Finals, but still pulled in an Average check of $6,517 for a second place finish. They were 49.3 seconds on five.

Sheridan WYO Rodeo, $6,387

Rogers/Eaves placed fourth and 10th in the two rounds in Sheridan, but their aggregate time of 12 seconds on two was enough to win the Average by two tenths over Matt Sherwood/Caleb Hendrix.

FASTEST RUNS

San Angelo Rodeo, 3.4 Seconds

The pair’s best run of the season earned them $5,600 for winning Round 2 of the final rodeo of the Texas Swing. They also won $3,000 or more in San Antonio and Austin.

Lewiston Roundup (Idaho), 3.7 Seconds

At the one-header in Idaho, Rogers/Eaves were victorious to bank more than $3,000. They also earned an additional $3,350 for winning Round 1 of the Cinch Playoffs the same weekend.

NOTABLE WINS

Ponoka Stampede (Alberta), 6.9 Seconds in Showdown

Rogers/Eaves went north of the border and came home victorious at one of Canada’s most prestigious rodeos. They were the only pair from the States in the Four-Man Showdown.

New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo, 4.1 Seconds

On Sept. 17, Rogers/Eaves beat out three pairs who tied for second at 4.2 seconds. A total of seven teams were 4.5 seconds or faster and the win paid $5,078.
