Emily Miller-Beisel claimed her first win of the 2020 NFR with a 17.01 second run in Round 6. It was the second-fastest time of the rodeo, behind Hailey Kinsel’s Round 5 16.92 second run.
It was Miller-Beisel’s first check of the 2020 NFR and she said it came as a big relief.
“Oh, it’s like a weight lifted off my shoulders,” she said. “Every round it kept adding and kept adding. I kept thinking, ‘When am I going to catch a break?’ Beau was close, he made some good runs. We were having a hard time adjusting to Arlington. To finally get the round win tonight (on Chongo), I knew I had a good draw, I was really confident, my horse warmed up good. I thought, ‘Alright, this is our chance.’”
Miller-Beisel edged out Lisa Lockhart who placed second with a time of 17.07 seconds.
It is still Hailey Kinsel at the top of the World Standings with earnings of $187,833. She is in front of Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi who has earned $169,494 on the season.
It is the same top two in the average, with Kinsel just ahead of Pozzi Tonozzi. Kinsel has an aggregate time of 103.80 while Pozzi Tonozzi is at 104.20.
