Dustin Boquet’s August to remember

Dustin Boquet has gone from just inside the Top 10 to No. 5 in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings in a month.

The two-time NFR qualifier most recently won the Golden Spike Rodeo (Utah) with an 89-point ride on Bar T’s Exit Strategy. The title won him $6,764, but that’s far from his only win in August. Boquet has also finished in first place at the Sikeston Bootheel Rodeo (Missouri), Will Bill Hickock Rodeo (Kansas), Dodge City Roundup (Kansas) and the Garfield County Xtreme Bulls (Colorado).

Of those wins, the biggest outside of the Golden Spike came in Dodge City, where he was 91.5 points on Frontier Rodeo’s Gladiator’s Hammer to win $5,000 and Sikeston, which netted him $5,010 for 88.5 points aboard Cervi Championship Rodeo’s Anarchy.

BOQUET’S 91.5-POINT RIDE

Overall, Boquet has won eight rodeos, including San Antonio, in 2021. He has earned $109,171 this year and his 12 Go-Round wins are more than the last two years combined.
